La Reina
Not long ago, I came across a blend of Brazilian, Ethiopian, and Sumatran beans online. After some tinkering, it became our popular Big Squeezy. This is a more developed evolution of those same components, optimized specifically as a medium-roast espresso blend.
It delivers bright complexity as a straight shot while holding up beautifully in milk drinks. As a drip brew, expect inviting aromatics of citrus, toffee, and berries, with notes of cocoa, almond butter, blueberry, and lime, and a subtle earthy finish.
Named La Reina (“The Queen”) after my wife’s cat Eowyn — the true ruler of our house.
